Payne Center Q and A

The Payne Center is the name of the facility. We are the department ofRecreational Sports, which is house under the division of Student Affairs.Recreational Sports is located on the first floor of the Payne Center. 2. Is first aid available at the Payne Center?All employees of the Payne Center and Recreational Sports are certified infirst aid, while many are certified also in CPR and AED.

What type of security has been established?We are equipped with fire alarms, emergency exits, and a security system.They professional and student staff attend meeting to review our riskmanagement and emergency action plan. The staff often takes part in drillthat insures the information is retained.

In what ways do you believe the Payne Center benefits students?Recreational Sports and the Payne Center gives each student an opportunityto cultivate new friendships, development sportsmanship conduct and relievethe daily stress that comes with the class load. At Recreational Sports,students can vent their frustrations or stress by working out, playingintramurals or just shooting some hoops.

10. What is your favorite aspect of the Payne Center?Watching our student staff grow in their leadership skills and thenattending conferences such as Emerging Recreational Sports Leaders (ERSL)and the National Intramural Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA) nationalconference.
